Finalizing filming - Production
On December 3rd, we began by revising the filming completed thus. We did this in order to then address what we had to film next. It was concluded that all that was left to film was the final scene, which would include only a few shots. The beginning of the scene would be filmed in jack's room. I filmed this shot which was a solo shot of Salome, the main character. Filming the first shot this was relatively straightforward. The next shot was a close-up shot of the phone again where you can see a text message being sent from my character to Salome. This shot took a little longer to film as the camera was being difficult in terms of focusing. After filming these two shots, all that was left was the final shot of us all bike riding. We had difficulty carrying the prop needed, which in this case was the sign, while biking to the setting of the scene. I attempted to ride my bike while holding the sign and failed terribly. However one of my teammates had a baskett on their bike and carried it there. I would be acting in the final shot, which took the most retakes to complete. The street in which the shot had to take place had bad lighting at all angles. First, we tried to shoot the shot with sunlight in the background. This proved to look terrible on camera. Then we tried with the camera not facing the sun. This looked a lot better on camera; however, it was blinding us as the actors. We decided to go with this anyway, but it took many shots to get it right. Finally, we finished filming and now all that was left was the editing process.
