Production: Film Improvements

Today was the last day or finalizing our film. Due to all our past work Jack and I were basically finished. We just wanted to truly be sure that our film reached its full potential before we uploaded it. Jack and I agreed to each ask 2 people about one improvement we could make. This would amount to four improvements and surely make an impact.

I began by asking my mom. She told me that the film would benefit from making the camera scene clips brighter. I fixed this by going into the settings of the clips and enhancing the brightness and black point. I then embedded these clips one again into our film. I made sure to align then to the same spot as before.

Secondly I asked my sister, who is a very large critic in the world of film. She told me the editing between the scenes at the end was very choppy. Upon rewatching these scenes I noticed she was entirely correct. I quickly added in subtle transitions that CapCut provided in the spots I forgot. I then rewatched this section and realized the massive improvement.

Next, jack told me who he asked. He told me he asked his dad who at first said everything was perfect. However, after being pestered further, he said that the suspenseful music should gradually increases as the scene gets more intense. I quickly edited this factor in. Lastly Eliana, our friend who was in the film, suggested that the scene with zoom in close ups were zoomed slightly more out. Jack and I saw what she was saying and decided to zoom it he shot out a bit.

Overall I took the main in the original editing of this film and this improvement process benefited many of my mistakes. Now with Jack's and my film completed all that was left to do was upload.
