Production: End of Editing
Today I started by embedding the final title designs. This didn’t take me much time as I embedded most of them yesterday. All that was left was the title designs for the title of our film “I Know What You Did Last Night”. However, the hard part of this editing process was finding a way to make the words transfer off the screen and stay for the blackout. I first began by I writing the name of our title over the video. I aligned the text with the words on the prop we filmed. I edited it so the text slowly faded on the screen as the clip slowly fades out. I used the same color for the virtual text as the written letter which was black. I only had to do this once, for the end of our film however, after the blackout there is another clip I had in embed. I filmed a clip of Jack holding up a letter. The angle of this shot was from the perspective that shows the back the letter. The back of the letter read “directed by Valentina Navarra”. This final title design ends off our editing process.
Now all that was left was refinement of our film. I went back in slightly, tweaked the music and sound throughout. I also made sure all the clips were in perfect alignment with my finalized film vision. I edited where the title designs resided on the screen so secure the place with the best flow. I also changed some of the colors that I previously chose. Overall, I just finalized all the editing so my film was basically complete. All that was left to do was ask for recommendations on how to further improve.
