Production: Filming at the Park
Today after school, we decided to film scene two again. The last time we tried to film scene two, lighting issues messed up our shots. This was due to us ending up at the park too late during our last filming. We still however attempted to persevere through the issue of the sun setting. This determination proved to be pointless as the clips were going to make no sense in the timeline of our film.
Today, we were determined to film again, this time directly after school. Jack drove us to our filming destination, holiday park. I brought the necessary props. These props included cleats and a soccer ball. I also was sure to bring the storyboard. When we arrived at the park, Dylan and I left the car immediately to try and secure a clear spot on the soccer fields to film, while Jack looked for parking. We were shocked to see that the park was extremely busy today. We rushed around the park and found no field to be open. However, we asked this group of kids if we could use just a corner of the field they were using. Jack then met up with us and we set all the props in place. Overall, filming went very well and we incorporated all of the shots that we planned in our storyboard. However, then I had an idea to use my digital camera for a clip of the stockers perspective. I thought this would be very interesting for this specific shot, where the characters are filmed from a distance, seemingly from the stocker’s perspective. This shot is included at the end of most of the scenes, so I thought it would be good to have some consistency. I felt that it would also be good because it would make it clearer for the audience that it is from a different perspective. After filming the final shot on my camera, we were finished with filming scene two.
