Production: Further Editing

Today I vastly furthered my editing journey. I began by taking all of the selected videos from the folder I previously made and downloading them. I then cut these videos to the length we needed in terms of the sound. I then embedded the sound on top of the clips we filmed. This step took a lot of time as I had to link the sound perfectly with either our mouths or the movement of objects. After adding in the thriller music and then had to go back and sync the clips to the beat of the music.  I did this to have more of a satisfying listening and viewing experience. This step was very tedious, but the outcome was extremely worth it as it made our film look a lot more cohesive.

Then I went to editing the transitions of clips. Some clips, we decide to film a transition and others I had to embed them virtually. For most of the clips I did a blackout, but for some I went more of a creative route. I made sure to sync up the transitions with the music. I then went in and edited the lighting a bit. I did this by playing around with the saturation and the exposure of the videos. I decreased the warmth in some of the videos as well. I did this for the clips that seemed a little bit too lively for the atmosphere we were trying to create.

Now most important thing that was left was to place the title designs. However, Jack and I decided to change the font of our movie title from animatic to  Bradley Hand ITC. We did this because that was the font I used when writing the letter prop. We assumed that this would be easier to deal with when trying to do the editing technique when the words come out of the page onto the screen.
