Production: Working at the Park
When we first all met at the park, we noticed it was then again extremely busy. Originally, we wanted to park near the soccer fields because there are many trees we could use during filming. However, there were absolutely no parking spaces. Jack and I had to drive around looking for a parking lot at this park that was adequate for our filming needs. we were looking for a parking lot that was not very populated with trees around it. After scouring the park we found an acceptable spot.
We began with filming Eliana’s scene. The lighting was perfect as the sun was setting, but not quite set yet. Before filming the first shot, I informed Eliana about her character and how to act. I took over filming for the first scene. I decided to expand on the storyboard ideas and film more angles. This will allow me to use a more fast paced editing style. After filming the first scene, I wanted to get a couple shots on my camera. I made sure to charge my camera the night before. However, my camera has this flaw where it randomly turns on and wastes battery unless I realize and turn it off. Today, it did that and I didn’t realize as it was in my bag. When I took out my camera to film, it was extremely low on battery and I was only able to film one 1 second shot.
Lastly, we filmed the group scene. This scene was relatively quick as there were not many angles needed.
